FLEE ROBINSON
ANIMATOR
A visit to the Pixar Exhibition at London’s Science Museum in 2006 determined a change of ambition for me. I was so enthralled by the creative processes that set in motion animated films I quit my job in a toy company to learn animation. I graduated from Plymouth College of Art & Design in 2009 achieving a 1st Class Degree with Honours. My graduate film 'Deserted Fox' was chosen and played on the BBC's Big Screen in Plymouth and my work was published in Imagine magazine.
Previously I'd studied art & graphics at Falmouth University under Patrick Lowry & Charlie Watts & 2D Communications at Portsmouth University, then spent years working in broadcast radio which gave me a broad skill-base both in audio & visual production. I'm currently working toward an MA in 3D Animation with Alex Williams at Bucks New University.
My family are ‘arty’ so I grew up surrounded by creative people, my Grandad a design engineer and jazz drummer & my parents were both graphic designers. My creativity was encouraged from an early age.
I feel lucky to be living in beautiful Cornwall, my studio is at home and I’m kept in check by my bunnies George & Pickle and my cat Barbarella.
The pictures on here are a selection from my student works up to my most current. I take commissions for drawn and digital artworks and animation.
